The 2011 B’More Healthy Event was one of the largest health and wellness events in Baltimore history with over 25,000 attendees.  Kids, adults, and the elderly were treated to an Expo that was designed to showcase vendors, programs, and opportunities to get people moving , taking action and making choices to be more healthy.

At the event attendees were shown some of the latest and greatest in the Exergaming Industry provided by Exergame Fitness.  The iDANCE 2, a multiplayer dance system was showcasing some of the very best in dance songs to keep people moving to the beat!  Another piece that saw some people wanting to see how a climbing experience could translate into exercise were there to try out the Freedom Climber.  The 3-Kick, an interactive experience with a cross between sports performance training and interactive gaming had kids ages as young as three, to older adults chomping at the bit to try out their games.

3 Kick is a heavy duty commercial grade machine that will be loved by youth, kick boxers, instructors, trainers and those that just want to have fun competing with friends while getting a great workout! 3 Kick is designed with proprietary and resilient foam pads that can be punched, kicked, slapped, or tapped with shoes or bare feet, a fist, or an open palm. A light comes on in the pad and an audible tone sounds, when the pad is hit the light goes off and randomly another comes on. The score is based on speed and more points are allocated the faster you move, making it easy to track your daily progress. 3 Kick is simple to use, fun, and built strong for years of use.

Parker Johnson of Exergame Fitness said, “When you can add the element of interactive gaming to any type of exercise you have achieved something that most fitness centers would love.  Not only that but when you can have people from all walks of life having fun, staying fit, and exercising at the same time; well who wouldn’t want to be a part of that.  FIT Interactive and 3-Kick are one of the leaders in combining sports performance and games; obviously from seeing the long lines to play the 3-Kick, the city of Baltimore sees this as a new way to keep active as well.”

The event was not only great for attendees but the vendors as well, many already looking forward to the opportunities they will have next year with the city of Baltimore.
