Since opening its doors in 1992, Mall of America® hasrevolutionized the shopping experience and become a leader in retail, entertainment and attractions. Mall of America is one of the top touristdestinations in the country as well as one of the most recognizable brands.

Mall of America has earned anational reputation for entertaining guests. From musical acts to celebritybook signings to fashion shows, Mall of America is the Hollywood of theMidwest. Along with coverage in many national and local broadcast and printmedia outlets, Mall of America has been featured on the Discovery Channel,Travel Channel and TLC. By hosting more than 400 events each year, the Mall hasbecome the place where fans can meet and greet their favorite celebrities ortake part in interactive, one-of-a-kind events.

In one of their most recent eventsthey wanted to showcase not only technology, but fitness as well.  Being one of the largest malls in NorthAmerica the Mall of America features a host of stores that supports both, butnot together.  When they consulted on aproduct that would entertain, as well as provide their participants exercisethey decided that the iDANCE Multiplayer System would be the perfect fit!

iDANCE multiplayer concept is a revolutionary Exergaming system that wasdesigned specifically for environments such as Schools, YMCA’s, JCCs, ParkDistricts and Health Clubs. It is unique in many facets including the fact thatit provides the user with a combination of physical, social and cognitivebenefits and that it accommodates up to 32-players at once on up to 3 separatedifficulty levels with real-time performance feedback.

The iDANCE system can deliver workoutssimilar to the cardiovascular workouts achieved by running or jogging and insome cases even stronger results because the fun element and the challengesthat reside within the game stimulate the players to expend a greater effortthan they would in running or jogging.

Parker Johnson of Exergame Fitness said, “iDANCE is always one of themost popular items when we do events.  It attracts people of all ages tocome and try something that they have never done before.  While some haveprobably tried the traditional DDR, not many if any have played a wireless, projection based multiplayer game.  If you show me something where someoneages 5, 10, 40, and 80 can all play the same game, then I will show yousomething fun and engaging!”

If you would like more information onthe iDANCE System and how it can be used at your facility contact ExergameFitness for more details!

Our philosophy is to create fun, exciting environments where the worlds of technology and fitness intersect.
