In Motion Fitness Club and the Palestinian Children’s Relief Fund provided four Palestinian children, aged from 9 to 16, one such opportunity on 17th February.

The club hosted the four children at their Dubai outlet allowing them a free experience of its facilities. The children, in their prosthesis, moved ecstatically from game to game at In Motion, the first Exergames Fitness club in the MENA region.

Speaking about the role of In Motion in promoting wellness and health, its founding partner Mr. Osama Al Othman said:

‘We are especially devoted to the rehabilitation and fitness of children with special medical needs. The club offers unique fitness solutions that combine entertainment and exercise. Our effort is to promote positive energy in kids and reduces inactivity, thus fighting childhood obesity and lifestyle related illnesses.

‘The PCRF is a registered non-political, non-profit organization that was established in 1991 by concerned people in the U.S. to address the medical and humanitarian crisis facing Palestinian youths in the Middle East. The organization has since expanded to help suffering children to locate free medical care and specialized treatment in their homeland.

Speaking about the visit to In Motion Fitness Club Miss Iman Odeh, the treasurer and activities coordinator of PCRF, said, ‘This is an activity that is pencilled in the activity schedule of the PCRF children on regular basis. We take the children to In Motion to truly test their prosthesis, they jump on the trampoline, they do leg raises, they climb the walls and test their balancing skills. They coordinate the visual effect of the electronic games while cycling and interacting with the trainers at In-Motion. To me this is the true test of the efficiency of the prosthesis. The child will play and I can observe while he is having fun how well he can grab the rowing machine or how how high he can jump on the trampoline.’

‘The children always leave hot and sweaty but look forward to going back again and again,’ she added.
