In 2012, North Crawford SchoolDistrict in Wisconsin was one of the lucky schools that won the Carol M. White Physical Education Program Grant (PEP)award. The PEP grant is funded bythe U.S. Department of Education’s Office of Safe and Healthy Schools (OSHS)and gives schools the funding to enhance Physical Education and Nutritionprograms.
North Crawford choseexergames as a way to keep students active and to this day it continues to useexergames as it combines exercise with something kids love, gaming. With our iDance product, they have created afun group based interactive dance class. About 32 students can dance on their own wireless dance pad at varyingintensity levels based on their skills.
This Saturday, April26, North Crawford along with its health care partner Vernon Memorial Healthcare are hosting the “Spring It On!” event where thecommunity can explore healthy lifestyle opportunities, iDance equipment, theirnew climbing wall and the outdoor fitness challenge course.
This fun-filled dayis free and open to the public from 9 a.m. till noon. It isanother way North Crawford is helping students and the community stay fit andhealthy.
